By clicking “I AGREE,” or otherwise manifesting your assent to this Privacy Policy and accompanying Terms of Use, when you sign up to access and use the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy and the accompanying Terms of Use.
Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning set forth in our Terms of Use.
The Information We Collect and/or Receive
In the course of operating the App and/or interacting with you, we may collect and/or receive the following types of information. You authorize us to collect and/or receive such information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Contact Information
If you would like to use the App, you will need to download the App from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or any other app store through which the App is made available to you.
If you contact us for support via email, customer support form, or any other support channel, you may provide your email address and other contact details you choose to share with us, collectively, the “Contact Information.”
The Contact Information is used to provide the requested service, respond to your inquiries, support your account, communicate with you about the App, and send service-related notices.
Personal Reflection Information
The App allows you to use an AI companion for personal reflection, journaling, daily check-ins, notes, routines, preferences, and other self-care or personal organization features, collectively, the “Personal Reflection Information.”
Personal Reflection Information may include text entries, chat messages, journal notes, selected preferences, check-in responses, tags, saved items, voice or video memos if you choose to use those features, and other content you voluntarily provide through the App.
Your Personal Reflection Information may be processed by Avocado and its service providers in order to operate the App, generate AI responses, provide personalized prompts, create summaries, improve user experience, maintain safety and reliability, and support app functionality.
Where feasible, Avocado uses technical and organizational measures such as encryption, access controls, pseudonymization, or aggregation to help protect Personal Reflection Information.
You may access, review, delete, or make changes to certain Personal Reflection Information through the App settings, device settings, or by contacting us as described below.
If the App allows you to sync data with Apple iCloud, Google services, or another third-party storage provider, the processing and protection of information stored with that provider may also be governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy. Avocado is not responsible for the security practices of third-party storage providers that you choose to use.

In addition to Contact Information and Personal Reflection Information, we may collect additional information, the “Other Information.” Such Other Information may include:
From Your Activity
Information that we automatically collect when you use the App, including, without limitation:
IP address, browser type and language, referring and exit pages and URLs, date and time, amount of time spent on particular pages, sections of the App you visit, and similar usage data;
Information about a mobile device, including device identifiers, operating system, App type and version, carrier, approximate country location, hardware information, processor information, storage information, network type, and similar technical data;
Activity and usage information occurring via the App, including preferences, session lengths, feature usage, saved items, tags, interaction history, and similar data.
From Cookies
We may collect information using cookie technology and similar technologies. Cookies are small packets of data that a website or app may store on your computer or mobile device so that your device will remember information about your visit.

We do not share your Personal Reflection Information with third-party advertisers for targeted advertising.
We may use Contact Information to send product updates, service notices, and marketing communications where permitted by law. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us.
You also authorize us to use and/or share your Information as described below.
Agents, Providers, and Related Third Parties
We may engage other companies and individuals to perform certain business-related functions on our behalf. Examples may include cloud hosting, data processing, app infrastructure, analytics, payment processing, customer support, technical assistance, security, and marketing operations.

Such reports are designed not to identify you personally and do not include your private journal entries, private chat messages, or individual Personal Reflection Information unless you separately and explicitly authorize such sharing or unless required by applicable law.
Accessing and Modifying Information and Communication Preferences

Please note that it may not always be possible to completely remove or modify information from backup systems, legal records, security logs, transaction records, or other systems where retention is required or permitted by law.
